Aug 07, 2017  I'll also like to a site where someone has done the mod and provided an extremely helpful picture for pinouts on the sd card adapter to psp go pcb. All you need outside of soldering skills are a micro sd to memory stick pro duo adapter, small gauge wire, and preferably a clickly micro sd card slot.

  Is there a small hole in the part you put into the PSP?
  Could there be something lodged inside of it?

  There's a hole, but I can't see anything in it - in either of the two chargers I've tried
  I did read on another forums that it might be the little silver rod bits inside the socket that have somehow been twisted out of shape, but I'm a bit scared to start messing about with those without knowing exactly what I'm doing.

  I've noticed this, recently I've had to 'force' the charger in to get the thing to charge.

  It's like the plug just won't physically go into the socket after a certain point, it's strange. I bought another AC adapter today, so I'm sure it's a problem with the socket rather tha the charger.

  The plug NEVER goes all the way into the socket - it's possible you've forgotten this after months of not using it.
  Did you actually plug it into the wall and try to charge it, or did you just see it didn't fit and not bother?

  Yep, I know it never goes RIGHT in but this isn't the same thing, it's like it only goes in half as far as it should. I've tried it when plugged in and it's definitely not going in far enough to charge

  I remember not using my PSP for ages, then when I wanted to play it it was dead, went to charge it up and nothing happened, no light, nothing. I took the battery out for a while put it back in and this time the charge light came on, but like here took ages to get anywhere. But I left it and it did get to 100% and now works fine, no problems.
  That doesn't really help you though, there must be something blocking it if it isn't going all the way in surely.

  The only thing I think it might possibly be is that the rod in the socket was somehow pulled out further than it should be last time I used it, and tomorrow I'll go to see a guy I know who might be able to confirm this (and fix it if that's what it is). I'll let you know how I get on

  Update - everything's fine now! The guy I saw couldn't help, unfortunately, he tried to tell me I was trying to use the wrong kind of adapter (erm, except that I wasn't since the problem also occured with the adapter that originally came with the PSP, which did used to work).
  Anyway, while I was out this evening my dad took one of the adapters and filed the yellow plastic bit off the end of it, which seems to have done the trick! It's very strange and the adapters should ideally work without having to do stuff like that, but at last it does work now

  Update - everything's fine now! The guy I saw couldn't help, unfortunately, he tried to tell me I was trying to use the wrong kind of adapter (erm, except that I wasn't since the problem also occured with the adapter that originally came with the PSP, which did used to work).
  Anyway, while I was out this evening my dad took one of the adapters and filed the yellow plastic bit off the end of it, which seems to have done the trick! It's very strange and the adapters should ideally work without having to do stuff like that, but at last it does work now
